I started this in early March, when I had been unemployed for two months, and things were looking dire. I was making drastic plans to stem my own personal financial apocalypse.

A few days into working on this song, I got a new job. So, it's not as bad as it was, but I have a lot of catching up to do.

I was *thisclose* to doing all the verses with a Prince-style falsetto, but I chickened out. I think there's a take of me trying to do it, but I ain't playing you that.
