If you've been following me on Twitter (www.twitter.com/shawnfarley) you may have had an inkling this was coming. The title was a spontaneous exclamation in a "tweet" this week - where the rest of the song came from I have no idea - but it cracks my ass up.
Thanks to Mark Rakes for throwing down the Twitter gauntlet this week. If you don't like this, blame him.
lyrics
You don't know what you'd do
If faced with sudden cake
Ain't no hard and fast rules
To deal with sudden cake
Nobody ever expects it
We wonder from whence did it come here, oh no
Sudden cake
Drive a car ride a bike
Hurry to sudden cake
There's no dessert you like
More than sudden cake
Nobody saw this one coming
We wonder what it wants with our town
Don't mistake sudden for sodden
Sodden means wet
Sudden means:
What the heck
You totally surprised us
We weren't expecting THAT
Out of the blue
Completely blindsided
We have no contingency plan
No need to fear cake
No need to fear sudden cake
