I got this application for my iPhone called "Bloom" that Brian Eno was involved with creating - it lets you create ambient soundscapes by touching the screen of the device. I used it to make the backdrop of this electronic instrumental piece. That's a first for me, using my phone as an instrument.
I saw this movie "Moon" last week, and this song was inspired by Clint Mansell's score. Not that there's anything in the movie that sounds anything like this. The idea was to have no melody at all - just rhythm and soundscapes and, in the end, I decided to record a few voice ideas. You sure can make some creepy noises with extreme reverb abuse.
